We are fasr approaching our 140th Anniversary in 2 years time , We will be planning how to mark this soon,
We are a friendly group of enthusiastic gardeners willing to share our knowledge of all things green.
We are proud of our commitment and longstanding community involvement, with groups, schools, allotments and South East in Bloom. The Town achieved Gold status along with Muster Green and 2 years ago and last year Western Road Cemetery achieved Gold . We were awarded Gold for Britain in Bloom 2024 for the Town. an amazing achievement.
There is nothing more satisfying than growing and eating fresh produce. Sharing plants is a great way to fill your garden. Come and learn more with us.
Getting together on the 3rd Thursday of the months between September - May with our Speakers for illustrated talks and demonstrations.
We host three shows throughout the year (Spring, Summer and Autumn) which take place on Saturdays. They are full of colour and include entries of seasonal flowers, fruit, vegetables, floral art, handicraft, cookery and photography. The produce is from gardens and allotments around the town.
Our Talks and 2 Shows take place at: St Wilfrid's Centenary Hall, St Wilfrid's Way, Haywards Heath, RH16 3QH
We take part in the town council's Spring into Summer Festival, Summer Show in the Orchard Centre and other events .
Our stalls have plants and a variety of crafts created by our members and we offer free garden advice.

Dear Members and Friends
We are looking forward to our first meeting of 2026 on Thursday 19th March doors open at 7.15pm our talk is
Gardening for the Future with Head Gardener at Sheffield Park Jodie Hilton . This promises to give us ideas, with
climate change taking place we will need to future proof our gardens.
Our Programme of all talks shows and outings have now been updated. The 3 shows for 2026 have all the classes for the relevant shows online.
The Spring Show takes place on Saturday 28th March 2026 we are looking forward to some super entries, many
bulbs are peeping out now. Even after the continued rain fall throughout the winter months. another great year .
After our talk last year we hope to visit Ashen ground Woods, to see the wonderful Bluebells in full bloom, we will
be collecting names of interested members.
Wakehurst Gardens CAS membership are holding a Community Festival 8th& 9th May we have a few tickets and
please register your interest as soon s possible.
In July we have our coach trip going to West Dean and will be giving details at our March Meeting.
New membership forms will need to be completed as we now have ICE contact (in case of Emergency) to be
completed online or at our meetings.
Our membership renews yearly from 31 st October 2025
